We do not want your money, we do not want subscriptions, we just want your help. If you would like to advertise your association on our website(free of charge) then please contact the website and we will do our best to facilitate your needs.
If you are a member of the business community and wish to support our campaign, then we will be delighted to hear from you. It is in everybody's interest that problems associated with issues of antisocial behaviour in our community are addressed as a matter of urgency. No one political party or group will provide all the answers and solutions to this growing and escalating problem in our society. No one political party will take a bow for achieving something that was collectively achieved by all the people. If you have nothing to hide, then you have nothing to fear. We should remember this when we call for more effective law enforcement, but as individuals are reluctant to temporarily relinquish some of those rights in order to secure that enforcement. There is universal agreement within society that our democracy has in itself exacerbated the rights of the innocent to the benefit of the guilty. If you read between the lines you will see that antisocial behaviour is not just about little Jonny keeping people awake at night because of his activities on the road, it is not about Phil and Gina not getting on with their neighbours, its about a variety of problem that are deeply rooted within in our society which need to be addressed as a matter or urgency, sooner rather than later.
In an article titled '20 Families flee from 'hell' estate' in the Irish Daily Mail, journalist Katherine Hayes wrote: "Residents of a city housing estate claim that up to 20 families have fled the area due to anti-social behaviour. Limerick City Council confirmed yesterday that five families have left the Fairview Cresent Estate in Garryowen since the beginning of the year. A number of residents contacted local radio station Live 98fm yesterday in abid to highlight the plight of people living in the area. One resident tested: We Live in fear. It's hell up here, help."
City Councillor Kieran O'Hanlon added:" It is totally unacceptable to me that a small number of families can intimidate their neighboura into a situation where eventually maybe they have to leave the estate". Report Courtesy; Irish Daily Mail 31/08/2010 P.7.
Fairview Cresent is a local authority housing estate in LImerick, Saint Johns Park West is a residential housing estate in Clondalkin, Dublin, yet the problems are the same, a small number of residents making life difficult for their neighbours and nobody is doing anything to protect those who are forced to abandon their homes while the perpretrators of the antisocial behaviour continue to rule the road and control the lives of those who wish to live in peace
