A Brief History of the Campaign

The National Campaign to Stop Anti-social Behaviour in Ireland  is a community based campaign that wishes to promote a better understanding of anti-social behaviour and the damage it is doing to our communities. The national campaign was formed by a number of people
who believe that the life of the original antisocial campaign had come to a successful conclusion and that a new direction was needed in order to make the campaign operate on a true and meaningful national basis. The  roots for the national campaign have been secured and are now ready to spread beyond the confines of its original purpose and meaning.

Have you ever lived with the everyday problem of antisocial behaviour being directed at your family. Have you ever looked out a window in your home to see youths deliberately target your home and property simply because a small minority of your neighbours decided to make your family a target? Can you remember the day you closed the door behind you and walked away thinking 'at last i'm out of here' but glanced around at the decent people you leave behind, neighbours and friends who are continually forced to endure the antisocial activities by their neighbours from hell? You are out, happy and contented, living beside neighbours who possibly moved house because they experienced the same problems you left behind. The lads and their parents are still living in the area and making life difficult for others on your former road, while the weekend parties, road fights and the Garda helpcopter continues to hover over houses in your former estate, thank God you decided to leave when you did. It is a pity and a shame that decent law-abiding people are forced to leave their homes, people who were continually subjected to a life of hell by the same scum, thugs and misfits who were allowed to remain in their homes, found protection from within their own social group, while various authorities facilitated their own inactivity by hand-cuffing themselves to inadaquate and outdated rules and regulations. Individuals were protected and shielded over the years through association, nothing more and nothing less.

The initial spark which led to the formation of the original antisocial campaign was created when a
a young girl who resided on Saint Johns Park West in Clondalkin (incident reported to school authorities and the Gardai) was severely assaulted outside Colaiste Bride, Secondary School, Convent Road by youths attending the school, living in Greenpark  and friends of those living on Saint Johns Park West, (Saint Johns Park part of Greenpark) Clondalkin, Dublin, Ireland. The young girl assaulted had no friendship or other connections with those who assaulted her, but was singled out for assault by individuals who were friends of those living on Johns Park West. Another family living in Saint Johns Park West, Clondalkin experienced over twenty years (Gardai informed) of racial and physical abuse, intimidation, damage to property and a nightly barrage of violent activity (2009) by youths and young adults (18-26)(2010) living on the road. Elderly people were made prisoners in their homes, (door bells, hall doors kicked, car alarms activated) as people taking up residency became prime targets for the lads and their racial attacks, packed up and left as quickly as they came. Family pets were covered in motor vehicle engine oil and later in time poisoned and left at the pedestrian crossing at the exit from Saint Johns Park onto the main road.  Gardens and motor vehicles of specific residents were targeted and damaged, garden plants ripped out of the ground and thrown all over the road, waste bins upturned or stolen for weeks, as individuals who were either directly involved in racial attacks or were friends of those carrying out the racial attacks, enjoyed the privilege of having their property untouched. It was these incidents that helped form a  Campaign to Stop Antisocial Behaviour in Ireland.

A small number of youths living on Saint Johns Park West, along with their friends in Greenpark, members of a Clondalkin Gaelic club, with encouragement from individual residents on Saint Johns Park West, conducted a campaign of racial and physical abuse of selected residents and their property over a period of nearly twenty years. Over a period of twenty years the local Gardai were constantly informed about these activities and the source of these activities. Since its formation a number of Irish websites hosted by a varied of website providers and dedicated to resolving issues of antisocial behaviour in our communities have emerged on the internet. Many of these websites have since been closed down in a concerted effort by those who were directly or indirectly involved in  activities to hide the truth about the levels of antisocial behaviour,
perpetrated by a small minority of people  in this small housing estate in Clondlakin. The most alaring aspect of the antisocial ativities in this local community (and this community is not alone) is the continuing efforts (2010) by an individual or individuals ( people in authority within the local community who should remain neutral on issues of public concern) who conspired to have as many antisocial websites closed down in the Republic of Ireland that made reference to  a particular sports club, a club that had within its own membership, individuals who promoted, encourged and participated in acts of antisocial behaviour against selected residents living on this road. To this day, an individual within the local community, whose only concern is to hide the real truth about the torment and pain residents (we are now being told these antisocial activities never took place) in this small housing estate had to endure at the hands of the few. Not until individual residents on this road decided to sell their homes, did activity on the internet in the form of the direct naming of an antisocial campaign member take place by an individual in this club. For over twenty years this club fell silent on the activities of its members, then suddenly burst into life when residents decided to sell their home and leave the community behind. How deep the conspiracy to hide the truth and protect the perpretrators of these antisocial behaviour activites (2010) can be evidently seen by the efforts of an individual (know within the local Clondalkin community) to erase all reference on the internet to a sports club in the Clondalkin area  and the antisocial activities perpretrated by a very small minority of members within that club. Individuals have cited 'defamation' to service providers as their most mitigating reason for antisocial sites to be closed down, yet the same people fail to either investigate the truth of these alligations or contact victim of these antisocial activities, nor do they take into account the many reports to the relevant authorities about the years of antisocial activities by a small number of people on this road. In order to secure a balanced story before they embarked on these sordid actions in order to silence the truth, the same people should have used what God gave them (a brain) and took a greater interest in the real causes of antisocial behaviour in our society.  In other words they themselves are part and parcel of the problems associated with antisocial behaviour and part of the reason why antisocial behaviour is becoming difficult to control.

But this campaign is not just about incidents that took place on Johns Park West Clondalkin or even Tallaght,Limerick, Cork and everywhere else, its about the various forms of antisocial behaviour that take place in all communities throughout the country. Its about the need to take action that will help stem the rise in antisocial behaviour before it becomes unmanageable and totally out of control. Its about helping people who continually find theselves victims of antisocial behaviour  because they cannot  find any support from within their own community, simply because the perpretrators of the antisocial behaviour possible
have connections within that community, are members of a club or other organisation and therefore as the perpretrators of antisocial behaviour are protected by association. The people who establish this campaign took  great personal risk in helping to expose  problems that involve gangs, gang warfare, drugs, intimidation, racism and everything that promotes division within communities. Our people to this day receive threatening emails from the same individuals. No matter how sceptical others may feel about the objectives of this campaign, one thing is absolutely certain, sitting and waiting for the problem to sort itself out is but a fantasy that is left  for dreamers alone. If you feel agrieved by comments on this website, then please contact the campaign and we will endeavour to rectify anything that may appear offensive or defamitory. Please do not go down the road of an individual in the Clondalkin village area who repeatly makes complaint to website providers with the sole purpose of silencing the truth and the closure of antisocial websites.

The media in Ireland please note: The sole purpose of this website is to enable victims of antisocial behaviour express their feelings, thoughts and experience of antisocial behaviour. Should you find that in time this website has also  been removed from the internet, then you must investigate the  reasons behind that removal, with your inveatigations initially concentrated in the Clondalkin village area where the source for the closure of antisocial websites will be found. The aim of this website is to help people by providing them with a source of support and assistance when support and assistance appears to be non-existant. Those who attempt to close down antisocial websites are no better than the people who perpretrate acts of antisocial behaviour against others.

We need new members who will act as input to our web site and who will keep us fully informed of anti-social behaviour in their community or neighbouring communities.  Your information is fully confidential and we will not reveal the source of that information.Any information that may be helpful to the Gardai in resolving anti-social behaviour or other criminal activities will be forwarded to them only on your consent. Join us now and let us start a new journey that will make life better for all our people. If you do not act now, the future will be that more bleak for your children.
